Ghana Suffer Another Blow In Horror Qualifiers

Ghana failed to win any of their six Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after losing 2-1 at home to Niger on Monday.

The Black Stars missed out on qualification for the continental showpiece despite having a relatively easy group.

But Ghana picked up just three points from six games against 82nd-placed Angola, 110th Sudan and 131 Niger.

On Monday Ousseni Badamassi gave the visitors a 1-0 lead after 22 minutes but Ghana struck back via Jeremia Afriyie in the 67th minute.

However, a 92nd minute goal by Oumar Sako sealed Ghana’s fate., with Mohammed Kudus missing a penalty in the 96th minute.

Ghana finished their campaign on three points, with Angola (14 points) and Sudan (8 points) securing qualification from Group F.
