African Giants In Talks With Ramos

African giants Zamalek SC have shown interest in signing former Spain and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

Ramos spent 16 years as a Real Madrid player playing over 670 matches for the Los Blancos and won 22 trophies including four UEFA Champions League titles. The 38-year-old returned to his boyhood club Sevilla at the beginning 2023/24 season after a successful stint with Paris St Germain in France but only played one season.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup winner is currently a free agent, and he is allowed to join a team of his choice. Omar Zaalouk who is a player agent spoke with OnTime Sport according to Kinglet.

“I am responsible for several matters related to Zamalek, such as the signing of Sidy Ndiaye and Jamal Mutyaba,” Zaalouk told OnTime Sport according to KingFut.

“Ali Hisham Nasr, the club’s marketing official, contacted me about the possibility of negotiating with Sergio Ramos.

“I reached out to Sergio Ramos’ brother, Rene, who is also his agent, to negotiate a transfer to Zamalek. Ramos did not object to playing in the Egyptian Premier League.

“The talks haven’t ended, but negotiations have been temporarily put on hold until the end of the CAF Super Cup.

“Zamalek made an official offer to sign Ramos, but he requested a higher financial amount than what was offered, so we are trying to reach a middle ground.

“For the record, the financial difference isn’t large, and the chances of completing the deal are 50-50.

“I don’t know if Zamalek will handle the deal alone or if business people who love the club will get involved, but for now, the deal isn’t closed, and it’s very possible it could be completed after the Super Cup.”
