The 27-year-old hasn’t featured for FCSB since returning from the national team. He was on the bench against CFR Cluj but was then excluded from the match-day squad for the clash against Petrolul Ploiesti.
Ngezana has been named in the Bafana Bafana preliminary squad that will face Congo Brazzaville in back-to-back AFCON qualifiers in mid-October, but now looks set to miss out on the final squad as he is expected to at least take a month to recover.
The Chiefs development player missed FCSB’s UEFA Europa League opening match against RFS which they comfortably won 4-1 to move second on the table behind leaders Ajax Amsterdam among 35 other teams.
