But it come as no surprise as Mosimane was just waiting for the right move, he insisted, after he left Al Ahly of Egypt in July.
There in Egypt Mosimane’s stock rose high, winning the Caf Champions League twice, leading the club to FIFA Club World Cup to two bronze medals.
In last year’s edition, Mosimane, who was in charge of 97 matches at Ahly, beat another Saudi Arabia club Ali Ahli in the third and fourth playoff, thrashing them by 4-0 with Egyptian giants. There he was without his best players as they were part of Egypt squad that lost the AFCON final to Senegal in Cameroon.
That ruthless display impressed Ali Ahli management who have now come calling for his signature.
