Newly appointed Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids believes the coaches he has recruited to join him in Tanzania have potential to be the best in their fields.
Davids was announced as Simba head coach following a successful stint with Moroccan side Raja Club Athletic earlier this month alongside Josef Zinnbauer. The pair led the Green Eagles to a double that included an unbeaten run in the Botola Pro League and the Throne Cup.

The 43-year-old has called on the services of Darian Wilken as his assistant, Mueez Kajee as an analyst, Wayne Sandilands as goalkeeper coach and Riedoh Berdien as conditioning coach.
Speaking to iDiski Times Digital Editor, David Kappel in edition 163 of the newspaper, Davids highlighted his faith in his chosen technical team, and the importance of their experience at big clubs.
“Coach Darian has a huge potential, a football brain, ” Davids told iDiski Times.
“He is definitely going to be one of the best South African coaches. He definitely has the potential to be and he will be one of the best as a head coach in future in South Africa. It was easy to and very important on the one hand to formulate these guys that already understand my philosophy. Of course, Riedoh has also worked in Tanzania before, has extensive experience in Africa and South Africa, Sundowns.
“So it was easy to be able to bring all these experts in their respective fields because you don’t have time when coming to a big club, you need to hit the ground running. So, of course also, I have one local assistant coach [Selemani] Matola, who’s played in South Africa before at SuperSport under coach Pitso [Mosimane] and the existing analyst, that is here as well, Culvin [Mavunga].
“It’s important to be able to have that balance, to be able to start and hit the ground running when the games start coming,” he added.
