Former Confederation of African Football president Issa Hayatou has passed away on Thurday.
The Cameroonian was at the helm of African football for 29 years between 1988 and 2017, before being beaten by Malagasy challenger Ahmad Ahmad.
Hayatou also served as acting FIFA president after Sepp Blatter got banned from all football related activities on 2015.
He served until February 2016 when Gianni Infantino was voted new FIFA president.
Hayatou was also a member of the International Olympic Committee between 2001 and 2016, and was an honorary member since.
Under his leadership African spots at the World Cup grew from two to five, while the Africa Cup of Nations was extended from eight to 16 teams.
