Pyramids FC and Bafana Bafana forward Fagrie Lakay could be part of a major swap deal for Nigeria and Ceramica Cleopatra forward Sodik Awujoola.
Pyramids could fork out four players, including Lakay plus cash for highly-rated Sodiq Awujoola. The 23-year-old Nigerian had a good season, in which he had 23 goal contributions in 34 matches.
He has been linked with top European teams, including Olympiacos FC but the deal fell through on the last day of the window transfer.
Information received by iDiski Times states that Pyramids are ready to ship Mohamed Reda Boubou, Abdallah Magdy, Youssef Osama Nabih, Fagrie Lakay and cash for the striker.
Lakay lost his Bafana Bafana spot but had a decent campaign in Egypt, scoring 12 goals and setting up four more in 38 appearances across all competitions. He’s also helped Pyramids to win their first major trophy after they lifted the Egyptian Cup.
Lakay recently signed a new contract with Pyramids, which is set to expire in June 2025.
