Mane Confirms Future Decision

Sadio Mane has confirmed that he is leaving Bayern Munich, even though he wanted to prove his critics at German giants wrong this season.

Mane, 31, will leave the Bundesliga champions to join Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, arriving in Dubai on Monday for the first part of his medical.

He will sign a lucrative three-year deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s side, and Bayern are set to receive £‎24 million from the Saudi giants.

Mane broke his silence on his Bayern exit, saying he is hurt by the decision and had bigger targets but it seems he was left with little choice after Thomas Tuchel recently confirmed the African Footballer of the Year would struggle for game-time this season.

“Leaving FC Bayern hurts me,” he told Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.

“I would have wished for a different ending. I know that I could have helped the team this season. I wanted to prove it to everyone this season.

“Nevertheless, I only wish the club and the fans the best for the future.“

At Al Nassr he will become the next big-name signing following the likes of Ronaldo, who arrived in January, while Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana were signed this window.
