Namibian national team head coach Collin Benjamin is banking on Durban City’s in-form striker Joslin Kamatuka for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea today.
The Brave Warriors beat Malawi 1-0 on Thursday with Cape Town City forward Prins Tjiueza scoring the only goal of the match, as they find themselves sitting in third place of Group H with eight points, four adrift of group leaders Guinea.

Namibia has good firepower upfront which leaves Benjamin with several options to choose from and with Kamatuka having scored 12 goals this season in all competitions for his club, Benjamin confirmed that he will start with the 33-year-old City striker against Equatorial Guinea on Monday.
“One thing is for sure we know Joslin is gonna start, we looking for him to bring that experience, the balance in defence and offense to break the lines,” the former Hamburger SV midfielder told the media.
“And that’s what exactly he has been doing for example for his club, and that’s what we backing on from him.
“As for others, to bring the other qualities to our game so that as a whole we can then click and do the best for Namibia.”
