Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung says their current technical team has support and they were fully aware of the challenges for their debut season.
Nasreddine Nabi was lured to the club from Botola Pro giants ASFAR in the off-season, taking over a Chiefs side who finished 10th in the league, a record low in the Premier Soccer League era in the club.

In his 28 matches in charge leading the technical team consisting of Khalil Ben Youssef, Cedric Kaze, Ilyez Mzoughi and Majdi Safi, they have won 10 games, drawn five and lost 13 across all competitions.
Chiefs find themselves in eighth place in the league but in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup, their last hope of silverware this campaign.
“I really don’t wanna get into that right now, all I can say is we have a technical team and coach, they’re doing the work, they have the support to do the work and then it’s for them to do the work,” Motaung said.
“We obviously know this is long game, we didn’t get into this thinking we will get quick results but certainly, the lessons are there, the analysis [of the team] is there. The football team is working well with the coaches to make sure things are addressed that need to be addressed.

“It’s important that we learn from the challenges we face, and I encourage our supporters to support the team and make sure we make it to the finish line for the season. But many learning and a need for more consistency, and there’s work behind the scenes to make sure it’s being done.”
In an exclusive interview with iDiski Times last month, Nabi, himself addressed the difficult start to life at Amakhosi and suggested that all is on track, with management in full agreement of the next steps needed to take the project forward in the 2025/26 campaign.
Chiefs will be aiming to get back to winning ways after the FIFA International Break, when they face Golden Arrows this coming Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
