Pitso Receives Special Praise From Former Player

Pitso Mosimane has received special praise from Al Wahda star Lucas Pimenta, who says the South African tactician laid the foundations for the club’s current run.

Mosimane left the United Arab Emirates club in November after just 10 games, and Al Wahda have since been unbeaten in five games since.

They also knocked rivals Al Jazira out of the League Cup after the team, which is now coached by Arno Buitenweg overcame a 2-1 quarter-final first-leg defeat with a rousing 4-2 recently.

In the league, they sit in fifth spot, seven points behind leaders Al Wasl and Brazilian defender Pimenta has credited Mosimane for the club’s current run in form.

“Mosimane is a wonderful coach, and throughout his tenure he worked to instill the spirit of victory in the team,” he told Emirates Al Youm, as per Dubai Sports.

“He is credited with what we are currently offering.”

Pimenta, though, also had kind words for the club’s current coach, Buitenweg, who replaced Mosimane when he left.

“Buitenweg is also a wonderful coach, and he brought with him some tactics that helped the team,” he added.
