Ex-NWU Talent Lands Major Move To Europe

Former North West University FC midfielder Tjipe Karuuombe is set to join Erovnuli Liga giants FC Dinamo Tbilisi.

The 22-year-old spent two years with NWU in Potchefstroom before joining third-tier Czech Republic outfit FK Loko Praha.

After the stint, he returned to his homeland with University of Namibia (UNAM FC) where he once again excelled and earned a call-up to the senior national team.

He started in their recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia, scoring in the 1-1 draw and in the goalless draw against North African giants Tunisia.

Two more caps followed in the international break that’s passed with cameos against Cameroon and Kenya and he’s now landed a move to the record 19-time Georgian champions for the 2024/25 season.

It marks a meteoric rise for one of the most promising talents in the Brave Warriors senior set-up, who will be aiming to take his career to greater heights in Europe.
