Percy Tau has won his second Player of the Week award since joining Pitso Mosimane at Al Ahly.
The South African winger scored a brace in his side’s recent 4-1 win over Smouha, taking his tally to five goals in six starts for the Club of the Century.
His performance had already earned him the Man of the Match award but Tau was now also named Player of the Week for a second time this season.
In particular, Tau’s first goal against Smouha, who were unbeaten in the league before facing Al Ahly, impressed with the South African toying with defender Mahmoud Ezzat before beating goalkeeper El-Hany Soliman from close range.
His second was a poacher’s finish as he converted a cross from Mohamed Hany.
Tau had already won the award in game week one after scoring a brace on his debut for Al Ahly against Ismaily.
Al Ahly have won all their six games so far, and are leading the table with five points more than Ismaily and defending champions Zamalek.
