Zinnbauer Completes Invincible Season As Nabi Finishes Trophyless

Josef Zinnbauer’s Raja Atheltic Club completed an invincible domestic double after their 2-1 win over ASFAR in the Throne Cup final.

The first half proved to be a thrilling affair from start to finish as Yousri Bouzok opened the scoring with a deft touch inside four minutes.

But Nabi’s side fought valiantly to get back into the game and were rewarded after a sublime passage of play as captain Mohamed Rabie Hrimat set up Amine Zouhzouh for the equaliser taking the game into the break at 1-1.

But it moved into a more cagey affair, presumably with both sides hesitant to open up on the potential counter threat and it took until the 78th minute for Raja to take the lead again.

Bouzok looked to dance his way into the area before the ball fell to Mohamed Boulacsout and the right-back made no mistake with a composed finish just inside the area.

The goal proved the winner in Agadir as Raja secured an incredible unbeaten double with the Golden Botola Pro and King’s Cup title in the 2023/24 season.

It sees the 58-year-old Nabi depart the Royal Army without silverware in his solitary season ahead of his move to Amakhosi.
