After Bafana Bafana’s third-place finish at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, they have made a significant jump in the latest FIFA rankings.
Bafana’s excellent showing in Ivory Coast has seen them return to the top ten in Africa for the first time in almost a decade.
They have also climbed into the top sixty in the world, and have moved up to 58th in the rankings released on 15 February.
Bafana’s standout performances included having to face four teams ranked higher than them, with their most memorable victory being against Morocco, who remain ranked first in Africa, and 12th in the world.
