Hugo Broos says he had a wonderful engagement with Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus as they shared thoughts about managing South African national teams.
The coaching duo were pictured together at a recent Castle Lager event, with Erasmus taking to social media saying ‘he learned a few things and looking to implement’ after having a discussion with the legendary ex-Belgian footballer-turned coach.

Broos reciprocated the notion saying he was invited to join the squad for one of their games in future and potentially training camp, should time allow.
“It was a very nice meeting, we agreed that we will see each other in the future to discuss about how I manage a team, how he manages a team, so I was very happy to meet him,” Broos said about the two-time Rugby World Cup winning coach.

“He invited me, if I can, if there’s no Bafana Bafana game or whatever, he invited me to come and see a game and even come a few days on training with them. So I’m very excited about it.”
Broos is now preparing for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho in Polokwane, before travelling to Abidjan, Ivory Coast for their second game against Benin.
