Bafana Bafana duo Luke Le Roux and Lyle Foster both enjoyed positive returns to the starting line-up in the Eredivisie and Premier League respectively.
Le Roux, 24, has missed 20 league games this season through injury but made a huge impression when he featured 71 minutes for Volendam in their 1-1 draw with Almere City.
His side is still in danger of suffering relegation from the Dutch top flight with seven games remaining – are seven points away from safety.
However, he’ll be aiming to get an extended run in the first team to help them fight the battle for survival and return to full fitness ahead of Bafana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
Foster, 23, earned his first league start since early February in Burnley’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
He lasted 70 minutes with an industrious display but failed to find the net, leaving his overall tally at four goals and three assists in 14 league starts in his debut season in the English top flight.
Meanwhile, Gift Links inspired AGF to the Danish Cup semi-final first leg with a stunning long range goal and assist for the winner in the 3-2 victory over FC Nordsjælland.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed an impressive campaign featuring regularly as a wing-back for the club, scoring one goal with five assists, missing only five games of their 30 played.
