Pirates Starlet Targets COSAFA Final With Bafana

Orlando Pirates striker Boitumelo Radiopane is challenging himself to be more clinical in front of goal ahead of Bafana Bafana‘s COSAFA Cup semifinal clash against Comoros later today.

The second-string SA side booked their place in the last four after finishing top of Group A despite playing to a 0-0 draw with Mauritius in their last group stage match.

The 23-year-old marksman has admitted that they are ready put away their chances after struggling to hit the back of the net despite creating an avalanche of chances.

“We tried each and every day to finish the chances we get in training because that is where the work starts,” he told safa.net.

“I am happy with the group of players that I’m surrounded with because we all want to reach the same goal, which is to win, and to win we have to score as many goals as we can.

“All I can say regarding our decision-making in front of the goals is that we need to be calm and not be selfish at some point, and if I’m not in a good position to score I just have to give it to the next player who is in the better position and to win the game for us.

“The only way to reward our defense is to score for them because they are doing everything well and everything they can for the opposition not to strike at us.”

The match kicks off at 18:00 from at Free State Stadium.
