New Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed that Marcus Mashilo has arrived at the national team to assist as goalkeeper coach.
Mosimane was appointed as successor to Hugo Broos earlier in the month, and initially brought along two his long-time technical team members.
His long-term analyst Musi Matlaba and long-term conditioning coach Kabelo Rangoaga joined him initially, before Morena Ramoreboli was appointed as assistant coach after leaving his role as Botswana head coach.
On Monday, Mosimane confirmed that former Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows man Mashilo joined as Goalkeeper Coach for the upcoming camp.
Mashilo had joined Marumo Gallants at the beginning of the season and will now form part of the Bafana camp for the upcoming international break.
Mosimane also confirmed that the local-based players have arrived in camp “with no issues”, while the overseas-based players are expected to join this evening.
Bafana will host Guinea at Orlando Amstel Arena on Friday, before facing Eritrea in Egypt four days later. They finish off this international break with a friendly match in Egypt on 4 October.
