Banyana Banyana star Linda Motlhalo’s agent Chris Atkins from World in Motion Agency has cleared speculation linking the midfielder to FC Barcelona in Spain.
The rumours went rife following the announcement that Motlhalo is leaving Swedish side Djurgarden.
Motlhalo has been in Sweden since 2020 and the news of her departure was confirmed on Thursday morning.
Atkins told iDiski Times exclusively that though there are options for Motlhalo the Barcelona rumour and picture doing the rounds on social media are fake.

“Nothing has been arranged or signed yet, we will take our time to consider all options,” he said about the Banyana stars’ future.
“While I have seen the speculation and even a supposed photograph regarding Barcelona, there is no truth in it. Indeed, the picture was clearly edited. Linda’s next step will be announced at the proper time.”
Atkins also confirmed that Motlhalo doesn’t have a new club yet, but the WAFCON winner and her representatives will wait for the right move.
“While there was an option to remain in Sweden, Linda is now keen to explore other options,” he added.
“She has had three fantastic seasons in Sweden and grown tremendously as a player, she is now a far more complete midfielder.
“But it is important to keep progressing.”
