Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma says they’re not obsessed with making FNB Stadium their fortress because they are home wherever they play in the country.
Chiefs have played 12 homes matches so far this season with some hosted at Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba Stadium and the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Stats show they have a 42% winning record at home, falling behind the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns who have a 90% and 100% home records, respectively.

Bvuma admits that though Amakhosi should capitalise on their home ground advantage in Gauteng, they should be winning everywhere as they dominate the stands even when they are an away team.
“For me, as a team, we need to get results everywhere we go,” said Bvuma.
“I mean a team like Chiefs we should win in any stadium because every stadium that we play in, 70% is always our fans. So, we don’t feel that we’re playing away, like maybe when we’re playing in Durban or anywhere.

“So yes, it’s important to win our home games. It’s important that we dominate when we play at home but it’s not only our home games, whereby we need to dominate and get maximum points.
“Every game as a team we need to make sure that we win and we perform very well.”
