Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that new signing Langelihle Phili and three other players remain sidelined ahead of their Betway Premiership clash against Stellenbosch FC.

Amakhosi return to league action when they take on the Cape Winelands outfit at FNB Stadium on Tuesday, 13 October, as they look to get back to winning ways.

Phili, 21, joined the Glamour Boys from Stellies at the start of the current campaign with his impact showing early on.

He has netted a single goal in three matches across all competitions before picking up an ankle injury which has seen him sidelined for Chiefs’ last four matches.

The club has since provided an update on the pacey winger as well as the trio of Brandon Petersen, Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu.

“Chiefs still have four major injury concerns, with Brandon Petersen returning to individual training recovering a knee injury, Lebohang Maboe – who has played in all eight of Chiefs’ games this season – nursing an ankle injury, while Phili and Siphesihle Ndlovu remain long term absentees,” the club said on its website.

The clash against Stellies gets underway at 19:30 from the Calabash.
