Kaizer Chiefs are not done in the transfer market yet, according to head coach Molefi Ntseki.
Chiefs have brought in seven players ahead of the new season and have now offered Thabo Cele a contract as he looks set to leave Radomiak Radom, as per SABC Sport.
Amakhosi are said to be in the market for another striker and a left-back before the window shuts at the end of next month and Ntseki admitted they are not done.
“For a team of Kaizer Chiefs’ calibre, I don’t see a house full of good players and then you close the door before any good player that might be coming in,” Ntseki said when asked by iDiski Times about their transfer plans.
“Results will always [determine that], some results might not be what you want. I’ve learnt over the past 25 years as a coach that are three moments in football that can determine whether you succeed or fail.
“Good players lose form, you need replacements for that, good players get injured, you have to have somebody ready to [step in], and also good players get suspended and you will need somebody ready to take over.
“The most important thing going into this season – is for us to have a proper squad balance, we have done a very good squad audit and it means if ever there’s a need to bring somebody to give more impetus to the team, we’ll do that.”
Chiefs kick off their season against Chippa United next week at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
