Banyana Banyana have announced their starting XI to face Argentina at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The two sides currently sit at the bottom half of Group G after losing their opening match, with Banyana going down to world number 3 Sweden following a brave display, while Argentina lost to Italy.
It means both teams need to get points on board in the second group match, otherwise their chances of making the round of 16 will be minimal.
Argentina won five out of their last seven games, while Banyana beat Uzbekistan 3-0 in February, drew 1-1 with Slovenia and beat Costa Rica 2-0 before the World Cup started.
The two sides have never met each other, and both are chasing their first-ever win the Women’s World Cup.
It is Argentina’s fourth tournament and they have collected two points so far – both at the 2019 tournament, while Banyana chase their first-ever point in their second appearance at the global showpiece.
