Kaizer Chiefs will miss two starters in their massive clash against Cape Town City when the DStv Premiership resumes this weekend.
Amakhosi have dropped into seventh place after winning just one of their last five games, but are still within touching distance of the CAF inter-club competition spots.
However, if they don’t want to lose track of those above them they will need a good result in their tricky away clash fifth-placed City, who sit two points above them on the log.
City themselves, however, are also not in great form, having won just one of their last seven league games, losing the last two.
The match will be important for both struggling sides, as City sit two points behind second-placed Orlando Pirates and Chiefs four – with a defeat for either side meaning a massive blow to their CAF Champions League ambitions.
Chiefs, though, will have to tackle their trip to Cape Town without stand-in captain Yusuf Maart and fellow midfielder Edson Castillo, who are both suspended.
City have won five of the last six league games against the Glamour Boys, including a 1-0 at FNB Stadium during the first half of the campaign.
The match will take place at Athlone Stadium, where Chiefs won the last clash in the MTN8, kicking off at 15:30.
