Cape Town City boss John Comitis is looking to lure former Orlando Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus back to the club.
Erasmus, 34, is currently a free agent and has been without a club since parting ways with the Buccaneers upon the expiration of his contract on June 30.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns marksman spent two seasons at Mayfair, winning four trophies – two Nedbank Cups and two MTN8 trophies, and Comitis is keen to once again being reunited with Erasmus who played for the Mother City outfit between 2019-2020 before being snapped up by Masandawana.
“I’ve just returned from Europe, planning to soon meet Kermit again,” Comitis told Isolezwe.
“If we agree on it all soon we will present him as our player. We have lost Khanyisa [Mayo], we need an experienced striker.
“We are also looking for a back-up player. We want to do well in the first season. That’s why we signed high-level players,” added.
Comitis’ quotes, though, come a bit as a surprise after City head coach Eric Tinkler told media on Monday that they were not looking at Erasmus as an option right now.
