CT City Reach Agreement To Part Ways With Star Midfielder

Cape Town City have reached a separation agreement with midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo who has left the club with immediate effect.

A few days ago, this publication reported that the Citizens were in discussion with Thulani Serero and Mokotjo for their exits, with goalkeeper Elson Ayanda Sithole already having left the club.

A follow-up is that City finally reached an agreement with Mokotjo, and he has already parted ways with the club, even though there are still at least two important games to play for City against Polokwane City and Stellenbosch FC. This comes after City showed displease with his contribution in their fight for survival.

Serero is still with the club, and he is likely to finish the current season and could potentially leave at the end of the campaign, but discussions are still ongoing between the two parties.

The former Bafana Bafana midfielder will only be able to join a new club next season with a return to Sekhukhune United still on the cards, with Eric Tinkler the head coach, though nothing is formal at this stage.
