Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley believes former coach Arthur Zwane won’t have much intel on their new-look squad and technical team.
Zwane left Chiefs after initially being demoted into a development role and assumed the position as co-head coach alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi at AmaZulu.
Usuthu have been revived under their guidance from a club starring at a relegation scrap towards ninth place and only two points behind fifth-placed Chiefs.
“We have done thorough preparation for this game and we have a strategy,” Dortely told the club’s official website.
“Things have changed here since Arthur Zwane left and new coaches have come in, so I don’t think he has any inside track on how things work with the team now.”
The Bafana Bafana defender says while they are mathematically able to chase the league, they will be realistically returning to CAF inter-club competitions is now the goal.
“Our focus is to win every game and claim maximum points in order to move up the table,’ he added.
“While it is still mathematically possible, our goal is to win the league but, if not, at least finish in the top three, and qualify for CAF competition next season.
“We really want to represent the Club on the continent again.”
