Kaizer Chiefs forward Ashley Du Preez has vowed to repay the faith shown in him after his contract renewal at the club to fend off strong European interest.
Du Preez joined Amakhosi from Stellenbosch FC two seasons ago and has so far contributed with 19 goals and seven assists in 75 matches in all competitions.

Inconsistency and injuries of late have halted his progress but the Naturena-based outfit have stuck with the Stellies-born speedster who was subject to a January transfer window interest from Portugal.
The 27-year-old recently signed a new two-year deal that will see him remain at Naturena until 2027 and has this campaign scored four goals in 16 appearances as he looks to improve on his goal tally in order to aid Chiefs cement a top four finish and do well in cup competitions after reaching the Nedbank Cup semis this past weekend.
“To be honest I’ve heard that they are going to renew my contract,” answered Du Preez when asked for reaction by iDiski Times.

“They trust in me. So, for me as a player is to give back to them, you know to give back to the club and to work on getting a better contract as a player.
“So, for me is to give back to the club.”
After being sidelined with a shoulder injury, Du Preez came off the bench to score the winning goal against Magesi FC in the Betway Premiership last week.
