Mammila Warns Teams After SSU Win

Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila has sent a warning message to the other teams after defeating Supersport United in Gqeberha.

The Chilli Boys claimed their third win in their last four matches after a later winner from the Namibian international Elmo Kambindu. The Eastern Cape-based side also picked up their first win at home this season.

The outspoken Mammila sent a message to all 15 DStv Premiership teams, warning them that if they don’t want to chase the league table toppers, Chippa United will do that. He compared his side with English Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion.

“I said boys if we have to be a ruthless team, let us be Brighton of EPL, that team says if Manchester United doesn’t want to chase Manchester City, let’s go behind Manchester City so we are going to give every team a very difficult task when they come here or when we play away. We just want to be a difficult team to play against.” Mammila told SuperSport.

Chippa have a big task in their next encounter as they will face Moroka Swallows in the first week of October at Dobsonville Stadium. Their next scheduled fixture is 24 days later, when they face AmaZulu in Gqeberha on 28 October.
