Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi reckons that talented youngster Malibongwe Khoza has a huge chance of breaking into the Bafana Bafana fold and even make it to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The 20-year-old centre-back put in another great shift at the back in Sundowns’ 3-0 hammering of Sekhukhune United on Saturday to return to the summit of the Betway Premiership.
The towering defender was promoted to the Sundowns first team this season and has already made seven senior appearances scoring one goal in all competitions.
Mngqithi was full of praise for the youngster, urging him to continue with his fine display which could see him being selected by Hugo Broos.
“I’m very happy with Khoza,” Manqoba told SuperSport TV in his post-match interview.
“I think he’s developing into something big, and I can tell you now, if he continues the way he is, he has a very big chance of going to AFCON with the national team [Bafana Bafana].
