PSL legends Vuyo Mere and Bernard Parker look set to move into coaching roles with TS Galaxy.

The veteran duo have been offered the chance to form part of the DStv Diski Challenge coaching staff next season.

Mere, 40, has spent over two decades in the South African top flight dating back to his days with Hellenic.

He enjoyed spells with Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows, Platinum Stars and Bidvest Wits and earned 10 caps for the senior national team.

Last season he made only one appearance, in the Nedbank Cup and had 28 games as an unused substitute and continued to pick up knowledge under the Galaxy technical team.

At the age of 38, he looks set to hang up his boots, that earned him over 70 caps for Bafana, and 23 goals, only Benni McCarthy scored more with 30 strikes.

Galaxy Chairman Tim Sukazi had said in the past that they will support the experienced players who are keen on venturing into coaching, tapping into their valuable experience in the game.

Ashley Makhanya has been heading the DDC squad and will now focus solely on his role as Head of Development – one of the leading specialists in recruitment and developing youth in the country.
