Mamelodi Sundowns defender Aubrey Modiba says their top-of-the-table clash against Orlando Pirates at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday will be ‘interesting’.
The two sides have been neck for neck in the league this season, with Sundowns having a six-point lead now, albeit having played one game more than Pirates.
It’s set up to be a proverbial six-pointer in the nations’ capital this weekend with Sundowns at the back of a 3-0 win over SuperSport United in the Tshwane Derby, while Pirates beat Sekhukhune United 2-1 in Polokwane in their respective mid-week fixtures.
“It’s always a fight against Pirates, I think right now they really want to win the league so bad, and obviously for us, we want to do well in that space, so it will be a very interesting game,” Modiba said.

“It was sold out in I don’t know how many days, or hours, so you can even feel the vibe heading into the game on Saturday, I think we’re up for it, we’re prepared, and we’ll be able to compete and hopefully win the game.
“At the end of the day, it’s three points [available] from each and every team but that one I think it will be an interesting game.”
The two sides meet in Tshwane on Saturday at 15h30.
