Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi defends Tashreeq Morris after SuperSport United defeat.
Morris has played a huge role in Chiefs recent good results. The 30-year-old gave Amakhosi the high-press they were lacking before his arrival. The former Sekhukhune United striker scored one goal in four matches.
Against his former club SuperSport United, Morris had one of his worst performances finishing the game with only one shot on target. When Nabi was asked if Morris is offering what he wants, he responded with defending the striker.
“Today’s game was an exceptional game, and then we cannot unfortunately evaluate players on one game, we have to evaluate players in many games that they play so today’s team was very tired, it’s an exceptional game but like I said we cannot evaluate players just on this game,” Nabi said.
“This game should not be used as a reference. In the previous game, Tashreeq gave all his best, he gave a lot of energy, and we could see today it has impacted his physical strength.”
