After their 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy, Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has said that for Christmas, he would like to get a few new players.
Nabi was not pleased with how his team started, but said they managed to take control of the game as it wore on.
“We feel that we didn’t start well, the first 15, 20 minutes, we were losing every balls,” Nabi told SuperSport after the game.
“Easy passes were lost. All the duels were won by the opponent, which was very difficult for us. We tried to make around the 25 minute, we tried to adjust the team tactically, make a slight change, then we came back, really good.
“And then we concede a goal on the set pieces where we feel that we were starting to come back in the game really, really well, with more control, with more commitment. And, in the second half, we tried to push forward.
Again, we are missing opportunities to score. And at the end, we, we tried everything to put more power, more risk forward, and fortunately, we got the point. But we feel that we are very, very far from the level of a team like Kaizer Chiefs, and we need to work hard, we need to strengthen the team but we’re gonna do everything we can for the future games.”
Nabi concluded by jokingly saying that he would like to get a few new top players as a Christmas gift.
“The perfect gift for Christmas time will be players that can strengthen the team,” he added.
“And we feel that we’ll do everything as well with what we have to get better results.”
