Ofificial: Stellenbosch Unveil Golden Boot Winner

Stellenbosch have confirmed the signing of Muzomuhle Khanyi from Hungry Lions as their first confirmed arrival ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 25-year-old striker was in high-demand after winning the Golden Boot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, where he netted 18 goals for Lions last season.

Stellies won the race for his services, as previously reported by iDiski Times, signing a three-year deal with Steve Barkers’ side and set to compete with Bradley Mojela, Ashely Cupido and Andre de Jong for a place in the front-line.

“It’s an honour to join a club with the winning mentality of Stellenbosch FC,” he told the club’s website.

“It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my career to join the club, and I already feel at home.

“I’m here to learn – I know it’s going to be difficult because I’m new at the club and stepping up from the NFD – but I hope I can continue with the form I showed last season.”

The squad returned for pre-season at the Stellenbosch Academy of Science this week ahead of another major season, as they return to the CAF Confederation Cup.
