AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin was pleased to see players back like Victor Letsoalo and Veli Mothwa who haven’t really enjoyed much game time maximise playing opportunities.
The coach was referring to the likes of striker Victor Letsoalo who started ahead of Junior Dion who fell dizzy just before kick-off of their league match against SuperSport United in Polokwane on Saturday.
The two players swapped places in the team with Letsoalo going on to score for Usuthu in the 1-1 draw, his first goal this season in all competition. Martin says he is pleased for his striker and his other teammates who have just returned to action.
“The best news is that he [Letsoalo] is showing that he is more than ready,” said Martin.
“He took the opportunity and he scored the goal. He played an amazing game. But not only Victor Letsoalo, today we also played Veli Mothwa he was coming back. Sikhakhane [Thembela] was coming back as well, Maluleka [George] played in the second half, Mulenga [Augustine] it was the first time starting.”
“All these names deserve us to pay attention to them and their performances because this is what this team needs, competition. We are also missing many key players and despite that fact we are competing very well and that’s good news.”
