Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-up for today’s Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium.
Pirates are having one of their best seasons, having already clinched the MTN8 early in the campaign, currently sitting second on the Betway Premiership table, while also reaching the CAF Champions League quarter-finals, and in the Nedbank Cup Last-16.
Pirates have only lost two league matches – both against Western Cape teams, Stellenbosch FC and Cape Town City – and are the second-highest scoring team in the league with 22 goals and only conceded five goals.
They’ve had the better of Chiefs in the recent Soweto derbies, as they have won the last three. They will aim to continue with this run and keep the pressure on Mamelodi Sundowns.
Here is how they line up:
Pirates XI: Chaine, van Rooyen, Hotto, Sesane, Sibisi, Makhaula, Mbatha, Maswanganyi, Nkota, Mofokeng, Mabasa
Subs: Buthelezi, Ndlozi, Xoki, Shandu, Dlamini, Rasebotja, Kimvuidi, Makgopa
