Sekhukhune United are set to sign South Africa U20 striker Thabang Mahlangu as a free agent with his contract set to expire.
iDiski Times has been reliably informed that Babina Noko are on the verge of securing the 20-year-old’s signature, who will be out of contract at the end of June 2026.

Sekhukhune aim to conclude the deal as quickly as possible, as the 20-year-old could sign a pre-contract with a team of his choice.
Mahlangu has been performing well in the DStv Diski Challenge since his days at SuperSport United. In the 2023/24 season, the striker won the DDC golden boot, netting 17 goals while playing for Matsatsantsa.
He went on to represent Amajita in the AFCON earlier last year, where he scored three goals and helped the side clinch the U20 AFCON title.
Although he didn’t have much impact at Siwelele FC or in the U20 FIFA World Cup, he was loaned out to Orbit College, where he played a massive role in the DDC, including scoring a hat-trick against AmaZulu FC.
Mahlangu made his professional debut at SuperSport in 2024 but has yet to score a senior goal. He is promising and could play a huge role at Babina Noko.
