Chippa United coach Thabo September has welcomed the return of Morgan Mammila back in the technical team saying the latter brings valuable contributions on and off the pitch.
Mammila made a return to the Chilli Boys after being named as one of the assistant coaches in the side’s 4-1 hammering of Magesi FC at Seshego Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The last time the former Baroka FC CEO and head coach was with the Gqeberha-based outfit was last season where he went from being the head coach to a technical director on his way out.
September explained to reporters in Seshego that the club had been in talks with Mammila for a while, but he couldn’t be on the bench in their last game however what pleases the former SuperSport United captain is how coaches and players are able to rely on Mammila.
“Morgs, we were coming to fetch him here in Polokwane because he’s from this side” said September.
“The plan was arranged before that, and he couldn’t sit on the bench against Polokwane City, but we were always communicating about how he can help us. We are happy that he came back to give his advice.

“He’s going to play a big role, especially on the technical side and of course off the field he’s a good group manager.
“I think he helps us in terms of managing the team to get us into good fluidity. So, it’s good to have him back.”
