SuperSport United assistant coach Andre Arendse has confirmed that Matsatsantsa are working to bring in one or two more players after the long-term injuries to Grant Margeman and Bradley Grobler.
United lost both Grobler and Margeman due to injuries before the start of the 2024/25 season and will both likely be sidelined until 2025.

Grobler has been their main source for goals in the past few seasons, ending as United’s top goalscorer for four seasons in the past five campaigns.
Speaking in the absence of Gavin Hunt due to suspension, Arendse stated that they are in the market looking at last-minute additions before the window closes on Friday.
“As far as the transfer window goes, we’re working hard to improve the team,” he told journalists after their 2-0 Tshwane Derby defeat.
“We’ve got key players missing, we’ve got Grant Margeman out for months, we’ve got Bradley Grobler out for months. These are two key players that we are missing, and big for the team, so we’ve got to replace them.
“And we’re trying to secure one or two [signings] before the window closes.”
Arendse also confirmed they working hard at training to improve the finishing.
“The one thing we have to change as a team this season is to back Bradley up with goals,” Arendse told the media.
“Bradley’s track record in the past will show that Bradley scored maybe 14 goals in a season but our next best goalscorer may have three or four goals.
“We need to bridge that gap, we are busy doing that. We are working hard in the market to try to bring in quality in the striker department and that’s our number one target at the moment.
“And we will be successful within a short time in terms of fixing that but the thing we work on a lot in training is the finishing.
“Look at the game tonight, you can’t be caught defending throughout 90 minutes, you’ve got to play and create as well and when we play and create we look better. We have to finish those chances that we created.”
