Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso remained cryptic over his thoughts on the title race with Orlando Pirates this season.
Cardoso has overseen three games for Sundowns since succeeding Manqoba Mngqithi with three 1-0 victories; Raja Athletic Club, Stellenbosch and AmaZulu.
Directly after the win over Usuthu at Moses Mabhida, he was asked about the Buccaneers smashing Marumo Gallants 8-1 and how it will affect the title race.
“I don’t see at the moment anything easy [at Sundowns] but I see character, and I trust the character of people. difficulties are there to overcome for sure we will have difficulties all along the way to the end,” Cardoso said.
“But the importance is the outcome of it and I am sure we will make it in the right way [in the title race with Pirates].”
Pirates could move top if they win their game in hand, as they now have a one goal difference advantage over Sundowns.
