Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that their DStv Premiership fixture against Orlando Pirates has been sold out.
Masandawana host the Buccaneers at 20:00 on Saturday evening, in what is a highly anticipated fixture as the DStv Premiership resumes this weekend.
Sundowns sit 13 points above Pirates on the log after collecting 38 points in 14 games so far, having played two games left than their rivals.
They are still unbeaten in 2023/24, picking up 12 wins and two draws, while Pirates’ first half of the campaign has been up and down – much to the surprise of many after they had dominated domestic cups under Jose Riveiro and were expected to challenge Downs in the league this season.
Pirates lost their two games before the Africa Cup of Nations break, dropping into fifth place on the log.
If they want to have any realistic chance of ending Sundowns’ dominance in the DStv Premiership, they will need to get a result on Saturday evening at Loftus.
Fans are truly excited about the return of domestic football, as tickets for the blockbuster fixture have been sold out.
