Richards Bay head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi is confident that they will not lose their last match of the PSL Promotion/Playoffs against Baroka FC, after spotting Morgan Mammila in the stands.
The Natal Rich Boyz held the University of Pretoria to a 1-1 draw at the Tuks Stadium to extend their unbeaten streak in the mini-league to three ahead of their last encounter against Bakgakga in KwaZulu-Natal.
Vilakazi was bullish in his post-match speech saying that Mammila and his charges will be faced with a daunting task when they travel to KZN next week.
“No, we’re playing at home. He [Mammila] must know that he’s coming for a very tough one,” Vilakazi told SuperSport TV.
“We haven’t lost a game, and we’re not gonna lose a game starting with Baroka at home.
“They failed to beat us away, so we can’t allow them to beat us at home.
“So, it’s gonna be a very interesting one because he also has hope. I think he needs about three goals if I’m not mistaken to make it to the PSL and that’s not gonna happen with us.”
A win or draw for the Natal Rich Boyz will see them preserve their DStv Premiership status for the 2024/25 campaign. Baroka on the other hand will have to convincingly beat Richards Bay with a two-goal margin to return to the elite division, while a 1-0 win for Baroka would send AmaTuks up.
