Magesi FC interim coach Papi Zothwane says he and Jackie Ledwaba will support club management’s decision should a new coach be announced including Owen Da Gama who continues to be heavily linked with the club.
The club announced Zothwane as the man in the hot seat on an interim basis on Christmas Eve following the departure of Clinton Larsen.
Zothwane’s first match in charge was a 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, a game watched by potentially incoming head coach Owen Da Gama in the stands. Da Gama leads the list of potential coaches to take over Dikwena Tṧa Meetse with his appointment reportedly imminent.
Asked if he was looking forward to working with Da Gama, the former Mamelodi Sundowns man said that he’s ready to work with anyone including the former Bloemfontein Celtic mentor.
“I can’t comment on that for now because the management said they are talking to the coach,” said Zothwane.

“So, obviously they have to tell us which coach is coming and whichever coach that comes in our team, we’ll definitely work with him.
“I’m here to serve Magesi Football club as an employee of the team. If they feel that me and Jackie [Ledwaba] have to continue, we’ll do so.
“If they feel like there is a need for change of personnel, we’ll gladly support because it’s all about the team it’s not about individuals.”
