Official: Dortmund Announce Major Signing

German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland on a five-year deal and will don number 77 at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Jobe, 19, is the younger brother of Real Madrid and England international Jude Bellingham and follows in his brother’s footsteps who also played for Dortmund before his mega money move to the Bernabeu.

Jobe was instrumental in helping the Black Cats gain promotion to the English Premier League for next season and had a host of clubs lining up for his signature before opting to ink a deal with the Westfalenstadion outfit.

“Borussia Dortmund have signed midfielder Jobe Bellingham, 19, from newly promoted Premier League side Sunderland.

“The England U21 international put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the eight-time German champions on Tuesday morning.

“Bellingham began his career in the academy at Birmingham City and joined Sunderland in 2023, where he made 90 appearances. He will fly to the USA with Borussia Dortmund on Friday to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup, and during the tournament he will wear number 77,” read a statement on the club’s website.
