Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller says he is focussed on preparing his team for their CAF Champions League semi-final first leg against Mamelodi Sundowns and not talk around his future at the club.
The Egyptian giants have had some mixed results in 2024/25, qualifying as second from Group C after losing to Orlando Pirates in the deciding match for first spot in the group.

They did beat Al-Hilal 1-0 home and away to qualify for the semi-finals but are currently only sitting in second place in the Egyptian Premier League and recently lost 2-1 to Pharco in the League Cup.
Amid the current run of results, pressure has been mounting on Koller and there has been talk that the club might opt to part ways with the Austrian if they would get knocked out by Sundowns.
However, when it was put to him by iDiski Times, Koller insisted he is not focussed on the rumours but only trying to prepare his team as best as he can to face Sundowns.
“For me, my future is only focussed on tomorrow’s game,” he told Lorenz Kohler.
“After that it’s the next day. I still have a contract, so that’s what I’m focussed on [my work] and not the speculation around my future.
“Others from management have to answer those questions, but I’m focussed on preparing my team and the game tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it and the players are very focussed.
“We want to do everything to get a good result ahead of the second leg, to then progress to the final.”
The first leg kicks off at 15:00 at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, with the second leg in Cairo being scheduled for 25 April.
