AmaZulu Announce Starting XI For Big Bullets

AmaZulu have announced their starting XI to face Nyasa Big Bullets for their first ever CAF Champions League tie.

After struggling in all competitions so far this season, Usuthu will go all guns-blazing to the CAF Champions League as they host Malawian club Nyasa Big Bullets FC today at Moses Mabhida Stadium at 17:00.

AmaZulu have been knocked out of the MTN8 quarterfinals last month after losing 2-1 to Cape Town City.

They have only collected a point in a draw against Swallows FC and lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in their opening two games of the DStv Premiership.

Meanwhile, Nyasa Bullet FC have won two games, drawn one and lost only one of their last four games.

The Malawian club tops the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football, leading from the second team with 3 points with four games to go.

However, Usuthu head to the CAF Champions League pre-liminary round first leg looking for their first CAF Champions League victory.

It is a highly anticipated match as it will be their debut in Africa’s premier competition.

The Durban-based club booked their spot after a great run which saw them securing the second position in the DStv Premiership last season.

They will be guided once again by Benni McCarthy who joined the club in December 2020 and guided them to the second position.

Here is how they line up:

AmaZulu: Mothwa, Moleko, Xoki, Malepe, Zulu, Makhaula, Mlambo, Qalinge, Memela, Maduna, Majoro.

Big Bullets: tbc.
