Former PSL referee Victor Hlungwani has applauded Botswana official Keabetswe Dintwa for his bravery in correcting disallowing Mamelodi Sundowns‘ second goal against Wiliete SC in the CAF Champions League this past weekend.
Sundowns’ Colombian marksman Brayan Leon thought he had given the defending African champions a 2-1 lead in the 54th minute, only for Dintwa to award the freekick to the Angolan outfit for an infringement.

The result eventually saw Masandawana crashing out of the competition in the second round preliminary second leg tie on away goals and will not get a chance to defend their trophy.
Speaking on Soccerzone, ‘The Principal’ was full of praise for the Botswana official in making the right call for the goal not to stand.
“You can see that Leon is impeding [Wiliete player] preventing him from getting into an advantageous position,” Hlungwani said.

“So, here, correct decision by Keabetswe Dintwa from Botswana to disallow the goal.
“There was a foul [committed by Leon].”
