Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Morena Ramoreboli has admitted that patience is one key element that they took as a lesson after being booted out of the CAF Champions League by Orlando Pirates.
The Botswana Premier League champions were hoping to overturn a 2-0 first leg deficit they suffered in Gaborone courtesy of Tshegofatso Mabasa and Deon Hotto’s heroics.

The second leg proved to be another daunting task for the Free State-born mentor and his charges as they conceded a last-gasp Monnapule Saleng strike to bow out 3-0 on aggregate as the Buccaneers reached Africa’s premium cub competition for the first time in five years.
“One lesson that maybe one took from the Orlando Pirates team, is the patience,” Ramoreboli told the media post the match in Orlando.
“There were moments where they [Pirates] were under pressure but you would still see them behaving in a proper way to say let’s not rush, let’s not commit ourselves too early.
“And these are elements saying only a group of individuals who are maturing as professionals, will understand the importance of being patient. And I think that’s one element they did right.
“We tested them with so many tactical elements, and in some situations you would see them reacting to what we are doing in a proper way.
“They know that they are quick, and they want to play into their strength, and they want to keep that speed going,” he added.
The 43-year-old former Bafana Bafana-COSAFA winning coach also took time to acknowledge Thabiso Sesane and Olisa Ndah’s partnership in defence for Pirates.
“I think the central pairing of Sesane and Ndah, I think for me they’re doing well for the team,” he added.
“They give a very good balance. And they know when to take risks and when to play the ball away.
“It takes a special talent to identify certain moments in the game and I think that’s one part that I’ve seen with them.”
